Sustainability

Feeling good starts with good decisions

Karlsgaerten_Home_garden

Karlsgärten epitomises future-oriented urban office architecture: sustainably planned, efficiently operated, and ready for the challenges of tomorrow.

Preserving rather than replacing

For Karlsgärten, this means redevelopment as opposed to demolition. Constructing a timber hybrid extension instead of a new building. Existing materials, such as parts of the natural stone façade, are being integrated and reused in a purposeful manner. Karlsgärten seeks to preserve rather than replace, transforming the existing structure into the working environment of tomorrow.

Sustainability that comes full circle

Karlsgärten is designed with its entire life cycle in mind – planned from its early stages using recyclable materials and to allow for the conservation of resources when it is eventually dismantled. Karlsgärten makes the circular economy a fundamental principle – not a footnote.
